Getting Started
Connect your bank
Bring the movements of your Swiss bank account into Numezis to reconcile them.
To reconcile a bank account, Numezis needs its movements. The direct e-banking connection is not available yet: today, bank lines come in through the ways below.
1. Create the account and link it to the ledger
- Go to Banking → Bank accounts and create the account with its IBAN.
- Choose its ledger account in Linked ledger account (for example 1020): the list offers only active, postable cash accounts, and also liability accounts for a credit card. Without that link its lines cannot be matched and payments cannot be recorded from this account.
2. Bring the movements in
- Import the statement. In Banking → Bank transactions, click Import and drop the statement exported from your e-banking: camt.052, camt.053 or camt.054 (.xml file) or MT940 (.mt940, .sta, .940 or .txt). The statement's IBAN names the account. When the statement names its account otherwise (a bank account number instead of an IBAN), the preview shows Statement account not identified: choose the bank account, then Import into this account. An IBAN no account of the company carries cannot be replaced by another account: first create the account with that IBAN, or correct its IBAN. Importing the same statement twice creates no duplicate.
- Payments recorded in Numezis. Paying a supplier bill, an expense or an expense report from this account creates the expected bank line, or takes over the one the statement already imported.
- A CSV or Excel file. Through the same import: the wizard lets you check the column mapping before applying. The IBAN column names the account.
- Manual entry. In Banking → Bank transactions, create a transaction, when the banking configuration allows manual entry.
3. Match
Open Banking → Matching: for each line, Numezis proposes the matching ledger entry. A line that pays a supplier bill already posted, but not yet paid in Numezis, offers that bill and its payment. Details in Banking reconciliation.
E-banking connection (bLink)
The connection will use the bLink standard of SIX Group. Until it is available, the Bank connections page says so and offers the import, and the Connect e-banking button of the matching page stays disabled with its reason. Numezis never receives or stores your bank credentials.
